Two world-class island resorts in a southern town of palawan are included in the list of this year's 12 best and most environment-friendly resorts in the world, a report disclosed.
These are the Miniloc Island and Lagen Island Resorts, both located in El Nido town. Miniloc and Lagen's citation was recently published in Conde Nast Traveler Magazine, touted as the world's best published guide for tourists. Owned and developed by Ten Knots Development Corp., the two resorts in El Nido employ mostly local residents who comprise the 73 percent of the resorts' total workforce. From January to July this year, the resorts recorded occupancy of 12,735 room nights.
Most of their guests are Filipinos, Koreans, Japanese nationals.
Europeans and North Americans also come but in lesser number. (PNA)
